Ever since Nate and I got married we have spent Christmas visiting our families up North. The last couple of years we have talked about staying at home. I think it would be a lot of fun to do Christmas at our house. It would certainly be less hectic.
The thing is we have awesome families. Nate and I both have large extended families, and the only time we can see everyone is at Christmas. My kids are so lucky that they are getting to know their great-grandparents. Seeing all these people is worth all the craziness of traveling.
This lovely woman is my grandmother. I can't believe she is 87, she certainly doesn't act like it. Seeing her only once a year is hard.
