Chemistry

Today Ashman and I decided to do a chemistry experiment. We got a dish of baking soda out and put food coloring into different bowls of vinegar. Asher added the vinegar to the baking soda to see what would happen.

 If fizzed and bubbled. He LOVED it.

 He got so excited every time he put some in.

 After a while he decided to reverse his experiment and add the baking soda to the vinegar. He was a little blown away with it bubbling on the spoon.

We couldn't quite get it to overflow. When I started talking about limiting reactants he decided he was done. Micah, we may have another chemist here!

Cuties

 So Dex here is a hungry guy. He eats a lot. He's not picky as long as there is enough to satisfy his enormous appetite.

 Nate made chocolate chip pancakes over the weekend. Dexter was very pleased.

 Piper isn't really a big fan of food in general. Her thing is clothes and shoes. Her current hobby is matching her outfits with a headband (she also needs pigtails still).

How can you resist this face?

New House

I am in love with our new place. It's so spacious. The kids are really adjusting well here. We spend a lot of time outside. I don't have to worry about being extremely quiet anymore when someone is napping. It's also nice to be able to do the laundry while the kids are sleeping (the washer and dryer used to be in Dexter's room). 

Every once in a while Piper mentions wanting to go back to the old house. This is also the girl who was crying in the car yesterday. When I asked her why she replied "I can't see Chick-fil-A".

Onward

We lived in that house for 5 1/2 years. It was the first home we bought, the first place Nate and I lived together. We brought three babies home there. So many good memories were made. I'm glad we still own it, so I didn't really have to say good-bye. 

 You can see my hand in this picture. About two seconds after Nate took it Dex dove head first down the steps. I caught him just in time.

Dexter's First Birthday

I know I haven't posted in a while. The last few weeks have been a bit chaotic. We had to cancel Dexter's birthday party due to the house delay. I was really bummed about it, but our sweet neighbors decided he still needed a celebration. They decorated the house with balloons in the morning. In the afternoon I got some pizza and they brought over a cake and presents. It was so special to have them their to celebrate Dex turning 1. We are so excited to be in our new house now (I'll do another post about that soon), but we miss our old neighbors a lot.

 Of course Ronnie and Lois had to get these guys a present too.

 He was really funny about his cake. He didn't really eat it, he just kind of played with it.

 Handsome man decided to take his shirt off due to his cake decorating.

We were so lucky to live next to Lorraine, and Ronnie and Lois. They loved our kids so much.
