Snow Day

This has been a crazy December in NC. We usually have really nice weather, but the last two weeks have been freezing and today we got some snow. My little southern boy is actually a northern boy at heart. He would much rather get bundled up and play in the snow then go to the beach.
Piper isn't a huge fan of anything cold, but she does like the cold weather accessories.

Christmas Party

Tonight we went to a Christmas party that a friend had. There were a lot of kids running around, but they all had fun. The kids decorated cookies, Asher loved dumping the sprinkles on his.
He also loved eating it.
Piper played with toys most of the night and tried to avoid getting run over by the big kids.
Towards the end of the night Santa made an appearance. Asher was very excited about this, especially since he brought candy.
Piper, well she didn't really like Santa.
Asher on the other hand enjoyed getting to tell someone everything that he wanted. Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas and Asher said very loudly "Presents".

Baby update

We had our doctor's appointment with the specialist today and everything looks great. The cysts are still there, but there are no other indications of other problems. We are very relieved. I can continue to see my regular doctor for the rest of the pregnancy.

In other news Asher discovered the ability to ask Why. This was my breakfast conversation with him this morning:

Me: Asher let's get breakfast
Asher: Why?
Me: Because we are hungry
Asher: Why?
Me: Because we haven't eaten since last night
Asher: Why?
Me: Because we were sleeping
Asher: Why?
Me: We just were
Asher: I want pancakes
Me: Ok, I'll make pancakes
Asher: Why?
Me: Because you asked for them
Asher: Why?
Me: Ugghhh
Asher: attitude Mommy, attitude

Gobble Gobble

I know I am late in posting about Thanksgiving. My class ends in a week and hopefully I'll post more frequently when it is finished. We had a really good Thanksgiving. We travel up to PA for some holidays, but this is one that we do at home with friends. It was a really warm day which the kids loved. We had breakfast at our house with some friends and went to another friends for dinner.
It is next to impossible to get a good shot of these two together. I'm not even going to try when the next one comes.
Piper didn't care about the food, she was just happy she got a new dress.
All the kids sat at one table to eat. Asher had a cracker and about 17 cookies. He had such a fun time running around with all the kids. And they were literally running around the entire time.

We are so grateful for the friends we have made down here. They truly have become our family.
