Playing with Piper

A few weeks ago Piper really started crawling. She often follows Asher into his room. Recently when she does this Asher will slam the door. When I open it up he looks at me and says "I play wif Piper awone". He did it again today. I opened the door quietly so I could snap a picture of them playing together.

Cruising

I am back from my cruise! It was a great time, and I got some much needed sun and relaxation. The relaxation part did not include the plane trip down to Florida. I arrived at the airport Friday morning a little after 4 AM. Basically that adventure consisted of my flight being cancelled, running through the airport to make another flight, being given the wrong ticket onto my connecting flight, crying, begging, having a pilot fly back and forth between two airports before he decided which one to land at, and a bunch of angry people. The first day we were in Atlantis. It was a blast (other than the part where I ignored the hot sun, didn't put any lotion on, and not am quite burned). The kids did great with Nate. This is when I won ten dollars doing the slots for the first time!

Leaving

Tomorrow I am leaving for a cruise to the Bahamas with my old college roomate Natalie. I made us matching beach bags for the occasion. This is the first time I have left Piper and am a little nervous about it. Nate and I left Asher for a weekend when he was a year and a half. I did really well then. Nate will be taking care of both kids by himself for four days. It will be interesting to see how he does on his own. I will post lots of pictures when I return.

Sick boy

I will refrain from posting pictures today. Asher has caught the stomach flu and has been throwing up all day. This is the first time he has ever thrown up and it scared him a lot. I asked him if he wanted anything and he looked up at me and said "Nemo". That is his new favorite movie. Hopefully the Pipes won't catch it as well.

Missing keys

A few days ago I couldn't find my keys. I didn't say I lost them, because I knew exactly who took them. I checked all of Asher's usual hiding places. They weren't under the couch or in his plane, or bus, or backpack. I figured they must have been in his room. I told Nate I would rather borrow his keys then look through Asher's room. Let's just say he has his own system for organization. Late Sunday night I went to return a video. While I was gone Nate observed Asher taking a big plate from dinner and sliding it under one of the couch cushions. Nate being the smart guy that he is went over to investigate. Upon lifting up the cushion he found the plate, my keys and a whole lot of toys. Case closed
