Baby # 3 update

I always talk about Asher and Piper, but there is another squirt I need to mention. Today I had my 20 week ultrasound. We got some good shots of the baby. Nate and I decided we aren't finding out what we are having this time, and I was ok with that until we got to the appointment. If any of you know me at all you know that I tend to be a bit of a planner and a teensy bit impatient. It was really hard for me to resist today.

During the ultrasound they noticed that there are cysts on the baby's brain. Usually they go away on their own, but my doctor wants me to see someone at the high risk pregnancy center. I've had a pretty emotional day because of this. I'm trying not to imagine the worst, but it's really hard not too. I will keep you all updated. I probably won't get to see that doctor for at least a week or two. Since it's 8 PM now I need to go to bed to be prepared for Asher's 5:30 wake up call.

Asher quotes

Asher came into my room this morning once again asking for candy. I told him he knows he can't have any candy until after dinner. He responded "Can I have dinner now?"

While looking for Piper this morning he ran around the house saying "Where my Piper is?"

After talking to him about the new baby he responded "I do not want two Pipers".

Sneaky Piper

Both of the kids love to hide things. The difference between them is that Asher can never find anything, and Piper remembers exactly where she put things. Neither of the kids liked binkys as babies. I tried a few times and gave up. I guess we have a few floating around the house still. Piper hides them and every once in a while when she needs some alone time she gets one out and sits in the bumbo chair (which she hasn't really used since she was 7 months old). It always cracks me up when I go in her room and find her like this.

Halloween

Last weekend was Halloween and the kids loved getting dressed up. On saturday we took them to a friend's house for a party. Asher was a fireman and was so excited that he could wear his rain boots. He wants to wear them everyday now.
Piper was a little ladybug.
This was the first party that had a pinata. Asher wasn't too impressed until the candy fell out.

Halloween was on a sunday so Nate left early for worship team practice. As soon as Asher awoke he started asking for candy. I'll spare you the details but it didn't end well for either of us. Every morning now Asher usually wakes up before me and comes into our room. Some days he gently taps me and whispers "Mommy I neeeeed candy". Other days he just takes his train whistle and blows it in my ear.
