Bastille Day

Yesterday was France's independence day. In the morning we went to the Louvre. It was extremely crowded. Piper and I did manage to see the Mona Lisa. I really wish they would ban photography in these museums. So many people were trying to get shots, and it prevented others from actually seeing the paintings. We went through the section that had Napolean's apartments. This was my favorite part. It was incredible so see all the detail throughout the rooms.
After nap time we headed out again. We went to a little park for a while.

We picked an Indian restaurant for dinner. Asher and Piper both loved the curry.
We missed the parade in the morning, but during dinner all the military trucks went by. Asher was very excited!

  1. So glad you got to go to the Louvre! Also happy that there are so many parks for you & the kids to enjoy.

  2. very cool! I think that if I went to the Louvre, the photography would annoy me too. It's not like they're actually getting good pictures of it! You can find better online!

  3. Asher is a true Niphakis if he likes indian curry...and Piper, too. I wonder what their eating habits will be like when they return home. :-)
