Our Last Day of Summer Vacation

Nate was off from work last friday. We asked the kids what they wanted to do on their last day of summer vacation, and they unanimously said the beach. We started the day with Duck Donuts. These are the best donuts ever. 

 We decided to go to the sound side of the OBX. I prefer the ocean side with the waves, but this was perfect for our small ones. You can walk out for a really long time and it is still shallow. Asher and I walked until we could barely see the shore, and it was still waste deep.



It was the perfect end to the summer.

    great pictures where no one can deny the beach is the perfect place for relaxed fun....and wow....such wonderfully shallow water....sounds safe and fun all together....and Duck Donuts! You still have to take us there. they look wonderful and they also look like they would last in your tummy for a good long time making lunch unnecessary. And who needs school anyway when you've got the beach! you can do science and literature and writing about it and singing about it and phys ed with it.... and history with it....don't need much else, do you ?
