Playing in the sink

Asher loves anything to do with balloons and bubbles. One way to keep this crazy kid occupied is to fill my sink up with water and bubbles. It's one is the less messier activities that he enjoys. He is so full of energy all the time. I am looking forward to the weather being nice again so we can play outside more.

Sewing

In the last few months I have started sewing a lot. This is the wallet I made as a prize for my contest a few weeks ago. I will be mailing it to Melody this week.
There is a fabric store in our city that I love. They do a lot of classes and last week I took one and made this purse.
I made Piper a taggies blanket this week. It was super easy to do and she LOVES it. Inside of it I cut up a cereal bag so it is very crunchy sounding as it moves. If anyone would like me to post how to make any of these let me know!

My little hugger

Piper is my snuggle baby. She is very content to sit on my lap for long periods of time. She loves to hug things when she sleeps and I often find her like this if I peek on her when she is sleeping.
Piper has decided to add dog food to her diet this week. She is so much like Asher sometimes. I don't know what it is about the dog food bowl that attracts babies to it. It is so cute to observe her watching Asher. If he is playing with a toy she will wait until he is done playing with it and then crawl over and play with it. She plays with trucks so much already, I won't be surprised if she never goes for the dolls.

Sick

I have been meaning to post for the past week. Last week I was sick and I started feeling better over the weekend. Once again I am sick this week. Being sick means I'm too lazy to search for the cord to upload pictures. Hopefully I'll post some more in the next few days. Other than focusing on getting better I am working on something for next weekend. Our church is doing a women's day of relaxing. I was asked to teach two short seminars on quick meals. I'm going to talk about preparing, and cooking quick meals. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I'd love some input as I put this together.

Balloonies

Asher's favorite thing is a balloon. He has a radar for them. Every time we go by a car dealership he screams out balloonies. One of our neighbors works at a grocery store and always gives him a balloon when we come in. Yesterday she brought over some left over Valentine balloons. Piper wanted to eat some of the fancy ones. Asher also thought it would be amusing for Juno to wear one as well.

Friends

This past weekend Asher's friend Maddie came over to play. She was Asher's first friend (they are two weeks apart). We are very sad that they are moving to Florida this summer. They had fun playing tug of war with Juno all morning.

All by myself (not the Celine Dion song)

Nate has been gone again this week. When he was gone for the first 2 weeks I was so motivated to get things done. I painted a few rooms, organized like crazy and actually stayed on top of the laundry. This time nothing has gotten done. It may have something to do with Piper wanting to
be held all day long, or Asher now answering why isn't of no. I thought no was the worst thing he could say, but I was so very wrong. Now I need to explain to him why he needs to pick up his toys and why he shouldn't throw his train at Piper, and why we shouldn't lick the dog or the door. I did manage to get the kids pictures taken this week.

Sick girl

My little Piper has roseola. I think we are on the way out of it, but she has been pretty miserable the last few days. She was on the floor this morning and started crying. Asher thought the best solution would be to wipe his nose in her hair. That was all kinds of awesome. She is a very sensitive girl and kindly asked that I don't take pictures of her when she isn't looking her best. I'll post a picture of her sitting in her Pop Pop's chair over vacation instead.
