Hormones

Lately I've been crying a bit more than usual. I give into tears easily during movies, but lately it's been a bit more than that. I've cried through most episodes of 24 (even though I know Jack will live until the next season). Today I hit a new low. About 2 weeks ago we ordered a four-wheeler for Asher for his birthday. I received an e-mail today from amazon saying the seller I ordered from was out of stock. I went to the website and saw that other sellers had the item, it was just more expensive and I would have to pay for shipping (the first one I ordered had free shipping). I called up amazon to see if I could pay what I originally payed and see if they would cover the cost of shipping. The guy I spoke to said no and we talked about it for a while and I asked to speak to his supervisor. I didn't want to order something else because we already received the charger and battery for our first order. As soon as the supervisor got on the phone I lost it. Not just a few tears, all out sobbing. I was trying to explain that this was for my son's birthday and how we wouldn't have a present for him and we couldn't pay anymore. The guy was so stunned and I think he just wanted to get the crazy lady off of the phone that he agreed to cover the shipping cost. I hope my hormones settle out soon.

  1. Oh Ally, its the pregnancy hormones. When I was pregnant I drove past a mommy cow nursing her calf and I LOST IT. Big time. Like, full out, snotty, puffy eyed, ugly cry. My husband had NO idea what happened.

Oh the postive...you DID get his birthday present at a price you agreed to pay...I call that a success!

  2. to say 'it will pass' doesn't help for the present. Well, at least you'll have some good stories for your diary! And you, with your big eyes, would make just about anyone give in, except when we are all playing Catan!
    love you, my dear.

  4. Oh I sometimes get like that when I have the big P. It's so embarrassing, but it's often works to our advantage, eh?
